Privacy policy
Last updated: 3 November 2026
This policy explains what data the browser game Biome3D at biome3d-remake.com ("the game") processes, why, and what choices you have.
Who is responsible
The game is operated by REDZI Digital, SIA (registration no. 40203277708, Latvia), the data controller. For any privacy question or request, write to info@redzidigital.com.
Playing the game
You do not need an account. To play, the game processes:
- Nickname and cell colour you choose. Other players see them during the game.
- A random player ID generated in your browser, so that your leaderboard score cannot be claimed by someone else with the same nickname.
- Leaderboard records: the ten best results for today, this month and all time are kept on the server (player ID, nickname, score, time). Only the nickname and score are shown publicly.
- Game notifications: when a player reaches a high score, the nickname and score may be posted to our internal team chat (Slack).
- Connection data: your IP address is used to limit the number of connections per address and to protect the game from abuse, and it appears in web server logs, which are rotated automatically and kept only for a short time.
The game state itself is kept only in server memory. The servers are hosted by Hetzner Online GmbH in Germany.
Legal basis: our legitimate interest in running a working, fair and secure game (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).

The game itself needs only the first three rows. Analytics and advertising storage is used in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland only after you consent to it.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 (through Google Tag Manager) to understand how many people play and how the game is used. Google Analytics does not log or store full IP addresses. Data is kept for the retention period set in our Google Analytics property, at most 14 months. Legal basis: your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR) in the EEA, UK and Switzerland.
Advertising
The game shows ads from Google AdSense. Google and its partners use cookies and similar identifiers to show ads, limit how often you see them, measure their performance, prevent fraud and, with your consent, personalise ads based on your visits to this and other websites.
- In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland a consent message from Google (a certified consent management platform using the IAB Transparency & Consent Framework) asks for your choice before personalised ads are shown. If you do not consent, Google may show only non-personalised or limited ads.
- Learn how Google uses data: How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.
- Opt out of personalised ads from Google at My Ad Center, and from many other ad companies at youronlinechoices.eu or aboutads.info.
Legal basis: your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR) in the EEA, UK and Switzerland.
Changing your choices
In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland you can change or withdraw your consent at any time with the Privacy settings link at the bottom of the game's start screen. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing before the withdrawal. You can also delete cookies and site data in your browser settings.
Data transfers
Google may process data outside the EEA, including in the United States. Google LLC is certified under the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework and also uses the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
Your rights
You have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data, to restrict or object to its processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent. Because the game has no accounts, tell us your nickname and roughly when you played so we can find your data. You may also lodge a complaint with the Latvian Data State Inspectorate (Datu valsts inspekcija) or the supervisory authority in your country.
Children
The game is meant for a general audience and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children beyond what is described above.
Changes
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version.
